# AGENTS.md — AWS-DB-Study conventions

(Mirrored from Google-TSE study kit conventions, AWS-adapted.)

## Style

- Dark-card study-kit aesthetic for any HTML: dark cards, no purple/blue gradients, no emoji.
- Markdown docs: tight tables, say-aloud lines, Done-checks. CHEAT_SHEET stays the largest file.
- Episode scripts (~500–700 words each): numbered header + Day mapping + ROI framing; concept facts; Understand/Prepare/Identify/Support walkthrough(s); Oracle→AWS translation bridge; lab assignment; next-episode teaser. Aloud cues are imperative "Say …" sentences, never literal `[Say]` markers.

## Doc-link / media conventions (for future index.html)

- In-app doc reader: `<a class="doclink" data-doc="path">` opened by `openDoc()`.
- Episode audio block: `<audio controls preload="metadata" src>` + `<track kind="captions" default>` + Read-aloud button (`data-speakfile`) + CC transcript button (`data-rcc`) + Download MP3.
- Video block: `<video controls preload="metadata">` + default caption track + VTT.

## Content rules

- AWS numbers: quote only from fetched `docs.aws.amazon.com` pages (DSQL quotas verified; re-fetch before interview).
- Every recommendation states pick + first data + trap ruled out.
- STAR: Situation 2–3 sentences / Task "I owned" / Action longest / Result X-as-measured-by-Y-by-doing-Z + stay-fixed. No invented expertise, no fake metrics.
- Directory roles: `scripts/` builders + episode txt · `audio/` mp3+vtt · `video/` mp4+vtt · `print/` local-only · `dist/` mirror · `tests/` checks.

## Daily loop

`00_START_HERE.md` → `STUDY_PLAN.md` day → `CHEAT_SHEET.md` open during lab → `RESOURCES.md` for docs.

## Deploy (Cloudflare Pages, project `aws-db-study`)

Account/project mapping lives in `.wrangler/cache/pages.json`. To ship:

```bash
cp index.html dist/index.html            # plus any new audio/video/scripts files
npx -y wrangler pages deploy dist --project-name aws-db-study
```

Verify live with `curl` (page 200 + asset refs) and `ffprobe` (MP3 duration, MP4 streams).
Production: https://aws-db-study.pages.dev (live after first deployment).
Repo: https://github.com/jesusbotello80/aws-db-study — local folder `~/AWS-DB-Study`.
